From the joy of dethroning a former champion to the intensity of beating a rival to simply witnessing a teammate's clutch shot, WNBA players share their favorite playoff memories.

Plus, check out Part I of the playoffs memories series and check back for more playoff memories throughout the postseason.

Tamecka Dixon
Los Angeles Sparks

"My favorite playoff memory is just winning it."
The first or the second time?
"Every time. Any time that we win it. Every game is so pressure-filled and any time that you can win a game in the playoffs, it's like a breath of fresh air. I can't really describe what the playoff atmosphere is."

Lisa Leslie
Los Angeles Sparks

"Winning the championships… The first one's always sweet because it's the hardest one to get. But the second one's harder to repeat and the third one is really the hardest to get, so everybody always says that. And every year has definitely gotten tougher. But the first one was cool because we went to Hawaii afterwards. We went to watch the Lakers training camp, and that was cool. Last year we didn't have a lot of celebration because many players were off to Europe quickly. So we're definitely working hard to three-peat so we can get back to Hawaii."

Sheryl Swoopes
Houston Comets

Looking back on your first four seasons, what's your favorite playoff memory?
"I think probably the second one that we won, that was us and Phoenix. And I remember we were at home playing Phoenix and we were down 12, 13 points maybe with six minutes left, and out of nowhere we just turned it up, and I mean, blew them away and then took them out of the game and ended up winning that game to send us to the final game. Not to say that that championship meant more, I just think that that particular playoff series with us and Phoenix was very competitive, was at the time a huge rivalry, so to be able to put them away the way we did in game three, that kind of stands out in my mind."

Sheryl Swoopes
Houston Comets

"I don't think there's probably one championship that meant more to me than any of the other ones because they were all very special. But if I had to pick one, I'd probably say the fourth one and that's simply because we dedicated that one to Kim [Perrot], who was a huge part of our success and a huge part of what we did with the Comets. So to be able to come back after everything we went through that fourth season and to still be able to pull it out and to stay together as a team in some kind of way even though we really went through so much emotionally that season and to dedicate that season to her and to be able to end it all with a championship probably made that one a little more special."
