"Okay, obviously we weren't up to defense we usually play in the first half. They executed their offense very well, they were able to hit open shots and obviously when you get open shots you gotta figure that you've got a chance of knocking them in. There were sometimes when we were on them and they still made the shots. But there were too many opportunities where they got open looks. And they have some great shooters. We weren't the team that we've been in the past."

Weatherspoon

"It's not over it's a series. We didn't play well. They played well. We need to play defense. Tomorrow it is a big day for us. Everything I believe starts with me and nothing started with me today. I'm pretty frustrated, pretty upset but tomorrow is another day. The greatest thing about it is the series is not over. We have a tremendous opportunity, we are at home."

Robinson

"I don't think we played bad at all. They played good. It's a playoff game. I think in the end people are going to make runs and they're going to have peaks and valleys and they had more peaks than us tonight. I don't think we played bad. They just played better than us."

Wicks

"I think everybody is ready. I don't think that anybody is more tired than anybody else is. I think we'll be fine with that. I think everybody is highly motivated after tonight's game to come back tomorrow. We didn't play as hard or as well as we could tonight. So tomorrow will be a lot of motivation. No one is tired."

Johnson

"Stinson is a great player. They really key on her a lot. They run off a lot of screens and stuff. She's a great player. She's going to get hers. We just can't let the rest of them go off and get some baskets or whatever. Tomorrow we'll do a better job and try to contain her."

"They are really good about this team and the effort they made tonight. Had a good first half, pretty good first half, New York came out with a nice run in the 2nd half and yet we responded. Stinson came up huge in the 2nd half, 16-second half points that really gave us a lift when we needed it. And Dawn in the first half. So a total team effort, looking forward to another contest tomorrow night."

"I think down the stretch when we had to play defense we did, and we didn't do that two days ago in Charlotte, at the end of the game they (New York) came up big and we didn't defend. So tonight I think we were focused; this is a team that we knew we had to play for 40 minutes, we let it slip away two nights ago, and we knew at the end of the game we knew the plays were going to be big and be ours."

Staley

"I was focused on my team, I'm not worried about them running at me. I was just doing what I could, creating when I could for others and for myself."

"I kind of felt like I was laid back where I let my teammates do all of the work so I decided I would step up and try to get them going, keep them up. Things just turned out that way; I took a shot when it was there."
