The starting center on the Chilean National Team and one of the top players in South America, Ziomara Morrison was signed by the Fever in April…she is the first Chilean to reach the WNBA, and a veteran player in Europe…she was waived in San Antonio’s preseason camp in 2013 after playing 30 games with San Antonio in 2012.
2013: Morrison was waived in training camp by the Stars.
2012: Morrison played in 30 games during her rookie season with San Antonio, averaging 2.0 points and 1.2 rebounds per game…she ranked 11th among WNBA rookies in rebounds per 40 minutes (8.7)…she made her WNBA debut in the season opener at Tulsa, 5/19…she set a career-high with 12 points and a pair of rebounds against Seattle, 6/9, and a career-high three rebounds at Phoenix, 8/19.

2013-14: Morrison averaged 16.3 points and 9.5 rebounds for Ceyhan Bid in Turkey, where she was sixth in the league in rebounding.
2012-13: Morrison was part of Spain’s Rivas Ecopolis team…she averaged 7.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game in Spanish League games…she averaged 5.9 points and 3.9 rebounds in 14 EuroLeague games.
2011-12: Morrison played for Burgos in the Spanish League where she averaged a double-double with 14.3 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.
2010-11: Morrison was a member of Spain’s Burgos…she led the team to the Spanish LF2 Group B title, averaging 15 points and 9.5 rebounds per game…she shot 54.4 percent from the field through 25 games.
2009-10: Morrison played for Spain’s Aros Leon where she posted 13.3 points and 8.4 rebound averages per game.
2007-08: Morrison played for Italy’s Ribera where she averaged 3.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in 19 games.
2005-06: Morrison was a member of Italy’s Ribera junior team.
2014: Morrison was the MVP of the South American Games last March, hosted in her hometown of Santiago…she averaged 28.6 points and 19.8 rebounds through five games, leading Chile to a silver medal finish.
2013: She helped Chile to a bronze medal at the South American Championships, averaging 21.4 points and 13.6 rebounds per game…the MVP of the event, she was its top rebounder and second-leading scorer.
2010: Morrison represented Chile in the 2010 South American Championship, finishing with 18.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per contest.
2009: She played in five games for Chile at the 2009 FIBA Americas Championship where she finished with 14 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, shooting 51 percent from the floor.
2008: She helped Chile capture the 2008 bronze medal at the South American Championship, where she contributed 8.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game, and shot 59.3 percent from the field.
