  • Personal

Susan Joy Wicks…Had her jersey, number 23, retired at Rutgers University on April 26, 1998, during the Women’s Basketball Team and Hall of Fame Banquet…She is only the second female player to have her jersey retired at the school (June Olkowski was the first)…First basketball experience came at 14, when “the boy I had a crush on was always shooting baskets, so I used to rebound for him and once in a while, he would let me shoot”…Can speak Japanese, Italian and Spanish…Enjoys watching Spanish soap operas…One of eight children, has four brothers and three sisters…Proud of her homemade fried rice.
