Background

CAREER NOTES: Teamed up with San Antonio Spur Tony Parker and former Spur Steve Kerr for the 2006 NBA All-Star Shooting Stars competition… helped the trio to the shooting stars title, nailing all her shots as Team San Antonio set a shooting stars competition record time of 24.1 seconds… In 2007 again teamed with Tony Parker and Spurs legend George Gervin for the Shooting Stars Competition, but the trio was unable to repeat San Antonio’s title.

2006: Appeared in 34 games and started 11 …. Averaged 5.6 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game and 1.4 assists per game … scored a season-best 18 points and had three rebounds, two assists and a steal at Phoenix May 31 … scored in double-figures five times and led the team in points three times, assists twice and blocks twice.

2005: Suffered a season-ending injury 11 minutes into the season opener against Houston on May 21… played 30 minutes in a pre-season contest with Los Angeles, posting 14 points, five rebounds and two assists in the loss.

COLLEGE: Earned Kodak/WBCA All-American honors and was named to the AP All-America First team as a senior after leading Kansas State to the second round of the NCAA Tournament… named to the John R. Wooden and USBWA all-American teams… earned the Bayer Advantage Senior CLASS Award her senior season… named 2005 Big 12 Player of the Year… was a Wade Trophy, Naismith and John R. Wooden Award National Player of the Year finalist in 2005… a two-time AP All-American Third Team selection (2003, 2004) and a two-time Kodak/WNBCA All-America Honorable Mention (2003, 2004)… named to the All-Big 12 First Team three times (2002, 2003, 2004)… started in 128 consecutive games… scored in double figures in 118 of 128 games… named Big 12 Player of the Week seven times during her collegiate career… finished her career at Kansas State as the Big 12 Conference’s and Wildcats’ all-time leading scorer with 2,333 career points and is the school’s all-time leading rebounder with 1,087 rebounds… is the only Wildcat and just the second player in Big 12 Conference history to record 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds during her career… holds school records for most career double-doubles (52), career field goals made (935), career field goals attempted (1,913), career minutes played (4,141) and most consecutive free throws made (28).
