She is the daughter of Clinton and Mary Alice Brown...she has three older sisters: Clintina, Cassandra and Kalesha...she majored in African-American studies with a minor in English at UNC...she was voted homecoming queen at Southeast Bulloch High School where she was also named the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Georgia during her senior year...she averaged 24.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 4.5 apg as a senior and 24.4 ppg, 7.2 bpg and 5.7 apg over her prep career...a three-time all-state selection, she played in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association High School All-America game, 4/3/99, in Hartford, Conn...she was her team’s MVP in all four seasons...she was a two-time Street & Smith’s All-America selection...she was named Northland Cable Player of the Decade...in track and field, she was a regional champion in the high jump.
