Background

INTERNATIONAL:
Bishop debuted for the Opals in 2007 during a three-game series on a tour of the United States and played in the 2007 Oceania series against New Zealand and Fiji. She averaged 10.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game during the 2007 U21 World Championship in Russia after tallying 83 points and 59 rebounds while playing 185 minutes in eight games which included winning a silver medal. She then averaged 12.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game during the 2007 U19 World Championships after tallying 115 points and 96 rebounds in nine games at an average of 26 minutes per game. She is a member of the current Opals squad and toured China and Europe with the team in 2009.

OVERSEAS:
Teamed with Lauren Jackson to help lead the Canberra Capitals to the WNBL Championship. Bishop averaged 12.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. The two-time WNBL Champion won her first title with Canberra during the 2008-09 season and additionally was named the league’s “leading rebounder” after averaging 10.7 rebounds in the regular season.
