Rookie point guard Feyonda Fitzgerald enters her first WNBA training camp, hoping to bolster backcourt depth with the Indiana Fever…she was a prolific scorer and assist-maker from the point guard spot at Temple, guiding the Owls to three consecutive 20-win seasons and an NCAA Tournament bid as a senior…Philly’s Big 5 Player of the Year as a senior, she contributed seven double-doubles by way of points and assists during her college career.

COLLEGE

Fitzgerald broke Temple’s career (635) and single-season (232) records for assists, and set a new season standard in the American Athletic Conference, also…she finished her career as the second-leading scorer in Owls history with 1,824 points, just ahead of Candice Dupree in third.

2016-17: An honorable mention All-American and a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman national point guard award, Fitzgerald was named the Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Year…she led the Owls in scoring with 17.3 points per game, and led the club with 7.3 assists…a first-team All-AAC pick, Fitzgerald also was named to the AAC All-Tournament team while averaging 24.5 points and 6.5 assists during the tournament…she set the American Tournament single-game scoring mark with a season-high 30 points against Houston, 3/5…Fitzgerald was named the espnW national player of the week, 12/19, after totaling 44 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and seven steals in victories over No. 17 DePaul and at Rutgers…a career-high 13 assists came against Tulane, 1/8…she had a career-best six steals in the game at Rutgers, 12/17…she matched a career-high with nine rebounds vs. LaSalle, 11/14…she posted a total of six points-assists double-doubles in her senior season…she had seven in her career.

2015-16: Named second-team All-AAC and Philadelphia Big 5 second team, Fitzgerald averaged 13.6 points while playing all 35 games for the Owls…she scored a career-high 32 points in a season-opening win over Florida…she led the team with 186 assists (5.3 per game), which was then second in school history…she posted season highs with nine rebounds and 11 assists.

2014-15: A part-time starter in 12 games as a sophomore, Fitzgerald played in all 37 games while averaging 11.1 points and 2.8 assists per game…she was the team’s third-leadering scorer…she contributed a season-high 29 points in a season-opening win over Philly rival LaSalle, adding six rebounds and five assists.

2013-14: Fitzgerald was a second-team all-league performer as a freshman, and a member of the American All-Rookie Team while starting all 30 games and leading the Owls with 12.9 points per contest…she averaged 3.8 assists per game.
