Training Camps Open Across The League

A new WNBA season is on the horizon and training camps opened all across the league this week. Coaches across the league are setting the groundwork for their systems as teams gear up for the first preseason games.

The New York Liberty take on the Chicago Sky on May 22, at 7 pm in the first preseason game of the year.

The new class of rookies took the court for the first time with their new teammates.

Training camp is a chance for players to show coaches what they’ll add to the team if they make the final roster. Ramu Tokashiki, who is in Seattle Storm training camp, is hoping to do just that.

The defending champions opened camp and began making preparations for a title defense season in 2015. Elsewhere in the Western Conference, the Lynx, Stars and the Sparks opened training camp with their sights on dethroning the Mercury in the Western Conference.
