Indiana's Maggie Lucas to Miss Remainder of Season With Torn ACL

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana Fever guard Maggie Lucas will miss the remainder of the 2016 season after sustaining a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee during last Friday’s game at Minnesota.

Lucas, a third-year pro who averaged 7.8 points per game through four games, sustained the injury as the clock expired to end the third quarter at Target Center. At the time of the injury, she was the Fever’s leading scorer in the game against Minnesota, with 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting. She averaged 5.7 points during her second WNBA season in 2015, helping Indiana to the WNBA Finals. She was tied for second on the Fever team with 31 3-pointers last year.

She is expected to return for the 2017 WNBA season.
