WNBA and adidas Turn Fans Into
Designers With i-design Contest

NEW YORK, May 29, 2008 -- The Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and adidas have launched the adidas WNBA i-design contest giving fans a chance to become fashion designers and have a shooting shirt they design be worn on-court by their favorite WNBA stars.

Aspiring designers can log onto WNBA.com/idesign and submit their shooting shirt designs for a specific WNBA team or for the 2008 WNBA Finals. Winning design submissions for each of the 14 teams - as determined by a panel of WNBA and adidas representatives - will be manufactured by adidas, the Official Outfitter of the WNBA, and worn by each team during that team’s Fan Appreciation Night. The winning 2008 WNBA Finals shooting shirt design will be worn by the participating teams during one game of the Finals. Fans going to WNBA.com can also rate and comment on each submitted design.

The winning designer in each market will receive two tickets to attend a WNBA game as well as a special version of their winning shooting shirt autographed by their respective team in addition to an adidas prize pack. The fan whose design is chosen to be worn during the WNBA Finals will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to a Finals game.

For more information, log onto www.wnba.com/idesign. Last day for entries is July 31, 2008.
