NBA TV To Televise Shock vs. Mercury Game in High-Definition Television on Wednesday, August 13

SECAUCUS, NJ, August 11, 2003 - NBA TV -- the league's 24-hour television network -- announced today that it will televise the WNBA’s Detroit Shock at Phoenix Mercury matchup on Wednesday, August 13 (4:00 p.m. ET) in high-definition television (HDTV).

The August 13th telecast will be the first WNBA game to ever be televised in HD on NBA TV. NBA TV televised its first HD game on February 16, 2003, featuring the New York Knicks vs. the Los Angeles Lakers.
