Phoenix's DeWanna Bonner finished with Player of the Week honors for Week 7

Phoenix's DeWanna Bonner powered her Rivas squad to a 79-74 win over MKB Euroleasing after posting an impressive 33-point, 13-rebound outing. Her efficiency rating of 34 was six more than Mercury teammate Penny Taylor, in turn awarding Week 7 Player of the Week honors to Bonner.

Bonner's single-game performance places her well within the Top 5 scoring leaders in the league, as she is now averaging 19.9 points per game, just one spot behind Phoenix teammate Diana Taurasi's league-leading 24.6 points per.

The win over MKB, a team highlighted by WNBA players Amber Holt and Angel McCoughtry, improved Bonner's Rivas squad to 3-4 on the year, placing them in fourth place in Group B standings. However, Taurasi and Taylor's Fenerbahce team continues to show its dominance over the group, improving to a perfect 7-0 record after defeating Gospic by the final of 92-60 this past week.

Connecticut's Tina Charles moved into a first place tie with free agent Cheryl Ford in the rebounding category, as each player is now averaging 13.1 boards per game. Atlanta's Sancho Lyttle is third with 11.4.
