Johnson
TODAY'S TOP STORY
The Silver Stars lost their final six home games last season and their first four this year. Thanks to the hot shooting of guard Shannon Johnson, that streak came to a halt. Johnson made her first seven shots and scored 21 as San Antonio snapped its 10-game home losing streak with a 90-60 win over Minnesota.

ALSO MAKING HEADLINES ...
Milestone Reached: Sheryl Swoopes may have scored just six points in Houston's 72-58 win over New York, but the three baskets she hit helped her reach a milestone. Swoopes became just the third player in WNBA history to score 4,000 in her career Friday. She trails only Los Angeles Sparks superstar Lisa Leslie (4,928) and Comets teammate Tina Thompson (4,054).

Cash

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING
"She's a fantastic player, and I didn't really think I could shut her out for the whole game. I thought I had a chance at the end, though. My teammates had my back, and I just did everything I could to make it hard on her."

-- Detroit's Swin Cash after holding Indiana's Tamika Catchings scoreless until the final two minutes before seeing her score three points in the Shock's 71-63 home victory.
