Jackson
TODAY'S TOP STORY
In the WNBA's first nine seasons, only nine players eclipsed the 3,000 career-points plateau. Well, it's season No. 10 and the 3,000 club has welcomed players No. 10 and 11 as Lauren Jackson joined Tangela Smith of the Sting. Jackson accomplished the feat on Wednesday after sinking the second of two foul shots with 7:32 remaining in the second quarter of Seattle's 86-73 win over the Sky in Seattle. Jackson notched 19 points for the game to lead all scorers which is right on her average of 18.6 points per game over her six-year career.

Kelly Schumacher led New York with 14 points on 6-for-7 shooting.
