No. 1 Pick Breanna Stewart Among Five Draftees to Sign with Nike
Nike announced the signing of Breanna Stewart, the No. 1 pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft, to a multi-year endorsement deal on Monday.
Rachel Banham, Aerial Powers, Jonquel Jones and Tiffany Mitchell — the Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 9 picks in the Draft, respectively — also joined the Nike Basketball family.
The signing is the latest step in Stewart’s track to stardom. She left UConn as the most decorated player in women’s college basketball history, with four consecutive national titles and three consensus national player of the year awards under her belt.
