New York, May 12, 2003 – On Sunday, May 18, WNBA and New York Liberty fans living in the New York area will have an exclusive opportunity to be among the first to purchase tickets to the 2003 WNBA All-Star Game. Tickets go on sale at 10:00 a.m. at the Madison Square Garden Box Office, and fans purchasing both Liberty and All-Star Game tickets can take advantage of a preferential seating offer for the All-Star celebration.

On the same day, the New York Liberty will appear at the Garden for the first time in 2003 with a pre-season game against the Houston Comets at 4:00 PM. The Madison Square Garden Box Office will remain open for the purchase of All-Star Game tickets after the game. Tickets will not be available in the rest of the U.S. until the next day, Monday, May 19 at 10:00 a.m. ET. With tickets starting at $10, the whole family can enjoy the unique experience of seeing the superstars of the WNBA together in one of the league’s marquee events.
The 2003 WNBA All-Star Game, featuring the world’s best women basketball players, will be played on Saturday, July 12 at Madison Square Garden. The WNBA All-Star Game, consistently one of the league’s highest-rated events, will move to network television this year, debuting on ABC at 4:00 p.m. ET.
