Mystics Pre-Season Schedule Released

The 2011 pre-season schedule for the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) was released today by the league office. The Washington Mystics will face Eastern Conference rivals New York Liberty and Chicago Sky in back to back games.

For the first game, Washington will match up against New York at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, on Wednesday, May 25, at 10:30 a.m. The Mystics will then return at home to face the Sky for the team’s third annual school day game at Verizon Center on Thursday, May 26, at 11:30 a.m. The school day game is a chance for children in the metropolitan area to enjoy a basketball game with an educational component and kid friendly entertainment. Tickets for the school day preseason game are currently on sale.

The Washington Mystics will tip off their 14th season on Saturday, June 4th on the road against the Connecticut Sun at 7:00 pm. Washington’s home opener at Verizon Center is Saturday, June 11th at 7:00 pm against the Chicago Sky.
