OLYMPIAN NIKKI MCCRAY NAMED TO MYSTICS ALL-TIME TEAM

Washington, D.C. - 2012 Women's Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Nikki McCray is the most recent addition to the Washington Mystics All-Time team. She joins former players Vicky Bullet and Murriel Page as well as current team member Crystal Langhorne as members on the Mystics All-Time team.

A two-time gold medalist with Team USA (1996 & 2000), McCray played the majority of her nine-year career with the Mystics. She was assigned to Washington in 1998 following a successful career in the American Basketball League (ABL) where she had earned MVP honors after leading the Columbus Quest to the league's championship. During her time with the Mystics, McCray led the team in scoring during her first two seasons (1998, 1999). In addition, she was named a starter to the league's inaugural All-Star game in 1999. McCray went on to be named to the 2000 and 2001 All-Star teams. She was the leading vote getter among Eastern Conference guards.

Following her professional career, McCray joined the coaching ranks with a stint at Western Kentucky prior to joining the University of South Carolina where she currently serves as an assistant coach. An alum of the University of Tennessee, McCray was a two-time Kodak All-American as well as the two-time SEC Player of the Year (1994 & 1995).

The All-Time team will be celebrated on August 19, which will mark the Mystics' first game following the Olympic break. The final member of the team will be revealed next week (each week leading up to August 19, a new member of the team has been announced).

Celebrating their 15th season, the WNBA's Washington Mystics are owned and operated by Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which is one of the largest integrated sports and entertainment companies in the country with one of the most diverse partnership groups in all of sports.
