WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Washington Mystics have partnered with the non-profit organization Decorate A Vet to continue their Random Acts of Kindness initiative. Mystics players Ashley Robinson, Natasha Lacy and Shannon Bobbitt will help the Karnbach family of Hollywood, Maryland celebrate the Christmas holiday in July. Due to Petty Officer Karbach's deployment, the family could not celebrate the holiday this past December.

Volunteers from Decorate A Vet, Stepping Stones, Our Military Kids Org and Monumental Sports & Entertainment employees will work on the landcape at the Karnbach's home and will recreate a festive holiday atmosphere. In addition, Creative Touch by Rhonda will donate the holiday dinner that the family will share while Bowles Trucking CO will assist the team with shredded hardwood mulch. The family was selected by the team in collaboration with Our Military Kids Org.

Decorate A Vet is a Non-Profit 501(c)3 dedicated to assisting our local Northern Virginia veterans to make such repairs, beautify their houses and yards, and decorate their homes for holidays.

The Washington Mystics are committed to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and will focus on the following five pillars to maximize its impact on the community: education and scholarship, hunger and homelessness, military and veteran's affairs, pediatric health and fitness and youth basketball & hockey.

Celebrating their 15th season, the WNBA's Washington Mystics are owned and operated by Monumental Sports & Entertainment, which is one of the largest integrated sports and entertainment companies in the country with one of the most diverse partnership groups in all of sports. The group also owns and operates the NBA's Washington Wizards, the NHL's Washington Capitals and Verizon Center - the premier sports and entertainment venue in Washington, D.C.
