Mystics Add Jessica Moore

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Washington Mystics Head Coach Mike Thibault announced today that the team has signed free agent forward/center Jessica Moore. The team recently waived Shannon Bobbitt, Ashley Corral and Avery Warley.

An eight year WNBA veteran, Moore joins the Mystics following stints with the Atlanta Dream, Connecticut Sun, and Indiana Fever. She was originally selected by the Charlotte Sting in the second round (24th overall) of the 2005 WNBA draft and holds career averages include 2.9 points per game and 2.0 rebounds per game.

Guard Matee Ajavon is expected to join the team for their second preseason game against the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday, May 18, in Bismarck, ND.

The Mystics will open the 2013 regular season on Monday, May 27 against the Tulsa Shock in a game that will be televised on ESPN2 at 3p.m. Washington’s home opener is set for June 2 at 4p.m. against the Atlanta Dream.
