Mystics to Host Fifth Annual Youth Summer League Event

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Mystics will host their fifth annual Mystics Youth Summer League (MYSL) tip-off event on Saturday, May 12 from 2-4 pm at Stoddert Recreation Center. For the second consecutive year, Kay Jewelers will be the presenting sponsor of the league while the Mystics will continue their partnership with the Greater Washington Sports Alliance and DC Parks and Recreation for the implementation of the league. Entering its fifth year, MYSL has provided an outlet for girls ages 10 to 18 interested in basketball.

The tip-off event will include a skills clinic and coaches clinic, and conclude with an autograph session and raffle. The entire 2012 Washington Mystics team as well as General Manager and Head Coach Trudi Lacey will be in attendance to provide assistance with the clinics. MYSL participants will receive a reversible jersey along with a complimentary ticket to see the Mystics take on the Atlanta Dream on August 24. MYSL championship games will take place during pregame and postgame of Mystics vs. Dream game.
