Veteran center Chasity Melvin will be returning to Washington for her fourth season with the Mystics.

WASHINGTON, Feb. 28. 2007 – Washington Mystics General Manager Linda
Hargrove announced today that Center Chasity Melvin has re-signed with the team.
Per company policy, terms of the contract will not be released.
Melvin, an eight year veteran out of North Carolina State, was selected by Washington
with the second pick in the 2004 Dispersal Draft. She has played in 102 consecutive
games in the three years she has been with the Mystics. Last season, Melvin averaged
11.9 points per game, led the team with 6.6 rebounds per game and .520 field goal
percentage. Melvin is currently 164 points shy of scoring her 3,000th career point.
The Mystics will tip off its tenth season on Saturday May 19th at 6:00 p.m. when
the team hosts conference rival, Connecticut Sun. Season tickets and partial plans
