Gardin Returns to Mystics Roster
Kerri Gardin has rejoined the Washington Mystics, General Manager and Head Coach Trudi Lacey announced today. Forward Joy Cheek was waived following a three-game stint with the team.
Gardin was on the roster for three games earlier this season, averaging 3.0 points and 2.3 steals per game, and was a key factor in the Mystics’ 98-90 win against the Atlanta Dream. Washington will continue with a roster of 12 players after being granted a medical hardship from the WNBA as a result of injuries to Alana Beard, Monique Currie and Crystal Langhorne. Beard has been sidelined with a foot sprain, Currie is out for the season with an ACL tear and Langhorne has missed the team’s last two games due to back pain.
