Open Mic:

MYSTICS HEAD COACH JULIE PLANK

On previous game:
“This loss is a bit disappointing because we had a nine point lead. We gave up 46 points in the first three quarters and then we give up 35 in the fourth. We cannot expect to win if we continue to play like that. As far as Connecticut goes we have to regroup. We didn’t play well up there. We started out well but that was not one of our better games. We can beat Connecticut and we have proven that before. They are an excellent team. Every game is a big game for us especially in the east.”

Key Matchup:

The Washington Mystics are currently tied for fifth place in scoring with the Connecticut Sun. Both teams are averaging 77.0 points per game this season. The Sun are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference only leading the Mystics by a half game.
