WIZARDS & MYSTICS PARTNER WITH NBC4 FOR FOOD 4 FAMILIES

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Washington Wizards and Mystics have partnered with NBC4 for the Food 4 Families food drive to be held on Monday, November 21, from 6:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to drop off non-perishable canned goods at the F street entrance of Verizon Center. Monetary donations are also welcomed. Members of the Bullets & Wizards Alumni Association will make a financial contribution to the Food 4 Families initiative.

"We are excited to once again present the Wizards and Mystics Season of Giving," stated Wizards Executive Vice President of Business Operations Greg Bibb. "We look forward to collecting food this holiday season and we encourage our partners in the business and sports communities to join us in helping those in need."

It is the fifth consecutive year that the organizations have joined forces on this initiative. To date, 25,000 families have benefited from the program. The following non-perishable items are recommended: canned vegetables (yams, carrots, green beans, corn), cranberry sauce, apple sauce, canned fruits, soups (box and can) and dry goods (stuffing, rice, macaroni & cheese, mashed potatoes).
