Beard

Well, it has truly been a challenge for me here, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. We have had some very tough loses. When I say tough, I mean tough. How does losing three games by three points or less sound to you? Although it has been difficult, I am definitely still smiling. Nothing can take my joy away, I feel like the little engine that could. =) We are now in a position where if we win, we will be in third place. I’m confident that we will win. The team is playing much better now. So, it’s not as bad as it may sound.

Okay, enough about basketball. My experience here is still a blast. I am enjoying every minute of every day. My mom had the chance to come to South Korea and see exactly what I was talking about. The people here treated her like royalty. It was good to see them take Momma Beard in as if she was a part of their immediate family. Momma Beard, of course, came in and did her usual thing and that is have fun. I think she tried every piece of Korean food that there was to try. I was very impressed as to how open-minded she was being that it was her first time in another country. The people didn’t want her to leave but, “OMA (momma)”, as they called her, had to leave.

As for me, I’m open-minded, but not as open-minded as “Oma.” However, I do try different things here and there. After all, what kind of experience would it be if I did not try new things? Other than food, I am doing my thing. I am building up quite a DVD collection. The DVD’s here are good too! Got a few suits made, and that’s about it.
