Washington Mystics Senior Vice President of Business and Basketball Operations Judy Holland Burton today announced that the Mystics have hired former NBA player and coach Michael Adams as the Mystics new head coach.

“What impressed me the most about Michael is his work ethic and his knowledge of the game,” said Holland Burton. “He is determined and believes that with hard work, anything is possible.”

“I am excited for this tremendous opportunity,” said Adams. “I have always been a fan of the Mystics. I am happy to be part of the team and I am ready to go to work.”

Adams joins the Mystics organization following a career in basketball that spanned over 20 years.
