SIBLEY HOSPITAL AND MYSTICS STRIKE PARTNERSHIP

Hospital to Serve as Team’s Official Health Care Provider

Washington, D.C. –The Washington Mystics and Sibley Memorial Hospital have entered into a multi-year sponsorship partnership, Mystics Chief Operating Officer Greg Bibb announced today. Per company policy, terms of the contract were not released. Along with a designation as the team’s official health care provider, Sibley will receive a host of additional sponsorship platforms and elements. This list includes presenting sponsorship of the Mystics’ Breast Health Awareness Game as well as the sponsor of the team’s school assembly program.

As the presenting sponsor of the Breast Health Awareness Game to be held on July 13th at 3:30 p.m., Sibley and the Mystics will join forces to raise understanding and money for underserved and uninsured women in the metropolitan area afflicted with the disease. Breast cancer survivors will be honored guests at the game, compliments of Sibley and the Mystics.

Robert L. Sloan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sibley Memorial Hospital stated, "We are pleased to partner with the Washington Mystics to increase awareness of the importance of breast health, as well as to provide mammograms for women in the Washington area."

The Be Fit, Be Smart Program will bring Mystics players to schools throughout the metropolitan area. The program is designed to raise young people’s awareness of their overall well-being. Presenting elements include discussions on staying in school, proper nutrition, avoiding drugs, alcohol and tobacco and staying physically fit.

“We are honored to join forces with such a well known and respected hospital as Sibley Memorial,” Bibb stated. “We are excited to work with Sibley in the fight against breast cancer and we welcome the organization to the Mystics family.”

Serving Washington, DC since 1890, Sibley Memorial Hospital is a 328-bed acute care nonprofit hospital. Sibley is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and is licensed by the District of Columbia Department of Health and Human Services.

The Washington Mystics will tip off the 2008 season on Saturday, May 17th, on the road against the Indiana Fever. Washington will host the club’s home opener on Sunday, May 25th against the four-time WNBA Champion Houston Comets at 4:00 p.m. Season tickets for the 2008 season are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling the Mystics Sales Office at 1-877-DC-HOOP1.
