SIBLEY HOSPITAL AND MYSTICS RENEW PARTNERSHIP

Hospital Returns as Presenting Sponsor of Breast Health Awareness Game

Washington, D.C. – Sibley Memorial Hospital will return for its second year as the Washington Mystics’ official healthcare provider, Mystics Chief Operating Officer, Greg Bibb announced today. Last season, the Mystics helped to raise over $37,000 for Sibley’s Sullivan Center for Breast Health in a post-game auction. Sibley will continue as the presenting sponsor of the Mystics’ Breast Health Awareness (BHA) game to be held on August 30, 2009 at 4:00 p. m. featuring the Minnesota Lynx.

The BHA Game allows Sibley and the Mystics to raise awareness and money for underserved and uninsured women with breast cancer in the metropolitan area. As part of the day’s celebration, breast cancer survivors will be honored guests at the game, compliments of Sibley and the Mystics. Following the game, fans will have a chance to bid on numerous sports experiences and memorabilia from teams and athletes from the metropolitan area as well as the WNBA.

“We are looking forward to this year’s partnership, a winning season, and another successful auction to benefit women in our community,” commented Robert L. Sloan, President & Chief Executive Officer, Sibley Memorial Hospital.

“We are proud to partner with Sibley Memorial Hospital for a second season,” Bibb stated. “Last year, we raised awareness and funds in the fight against breast cancer and we look forward to doing even more in 2009. Sibley is not only a world class treatment and research center, but also an outstanding partner and we are excited to continue this very important relationship for this season, and hopefully many more to come.”

Serving Washington, DC since 1890, Sibley Memorial Hospital is a 328-bed acute care nonprofit hospital. Sibley is accredited by the Joint Commission and is licensed by the District of Columbia Department of Health and Human Services.
