Week of December 8th, 2008
Alana Beard and Monique Currie’s Loto defeated Union 86-62. Beard added 22 points while Currie scored 19 points. Against Energa, Beard scored 23 points while Currie added eight points. In the contest against Gorzow, Currie scored 11 points and Beard added four points. Against powerhouse Spartak, Currie scored seven points and Beard added three.
Tasha Humphrey and Beretta lost a close one to Broker 80-74. Hump scored three points in 13 minutes. Things did not get better against Geas Sesto as Beretta lost 80-73. The third time was not the charm either as Beretta lost 78-73. Tasha added 10 points in 12 minutes. Finally, her team was able to defeat Umana 76-57 with Tasha adding nine points to the contest.
Crystal Langhorne and Teo defeated Lattes 73-62. Lang scored 23 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Teo was not as lucky against Spartak and lost 75-41. Langhorne scored a double double with 17 points and 11 rebounds
Bernice Mosby and ARRAS were defeated by Paix D’ Aix Provence 74-43. B-Mo led her team with 11 points and five rebounds. ARRAS Continued their losing ways against Saint Jacques and lost 71-64. Mosby led all players with 19 points and four rebounds
Shay Murphy’s San Jose Leon defeated Vilagarcia 62-54. She scored 27 points on 8-for 12 shooting. Shay kept her team’s winning way going when Leon faced Georgios Dikaioulakos and scored 33 points. Her team won 90-67.
Crystal Smith scored a double double with 19 points and 11 rebounds in Apollon heartbreaking 75-74 loss to Athinaikos. Apollon bounced back with a 65-47 victory over Panionios and Smith adding 22 points and five assists
Week of November 17th, 2008
Alana Beard and Monique Currie started the week on the right foot with a convincing 71-57 victory over ZVVK USK Prague. AB added 10 points, while Mo added two points and three rebounds. The wins continued as Lotos defeated LKS 89-60. Mo scored 12 points shooting 2-3 from the three point line and AB added seven points and three steals. The streak came to an end for Lotos as they faced the European powerhouse Ros Casares and lost 85-59. AB scored 11 points, seven rebounds and three steals while Mo added four points, six rebounds and two assists.
Tasha Humphrey made her international debut in Italy when Familia defeated Banco 80-40. Humphrey scored nine points on 3-5 shooting. In her second game, she scored 10 points in 11 minutes as her team lost to Spartak 70-62
Crystal Langhorne and Teo annihilated Egle 107-30 with Lang scoring seven points in nine minutes. It was back to business for Lang when Teo faced Fenebahce. She scored 12 points, grabbed 13 points but it was not enough and lost 64-56.
Bernice Mosby and ARRAS lost to USO 79-68. Mosby scored 21 points on 8-11 scoring. She also grabbed nine rebounds and one block.
Shay Murphy continues her stellar play as she scored 20 points in San Jose’s 69-66 win against Ibiza. San Jose also defeated Zaragoza 92-64 with Shay scoring 24 points and grabbing six rebounds.
Nakia Sanford scored 15 points and grabbed five rebounds as her team demolished Lemminkainen 93-39
Week of November 10th, 2008
Alana Beard and Monique Currie help lead Lotos to an 85-70 victory over CCC Polkowice. As the newcomer, Currie is learning the system and scored three points in three minutes of play. Beard scored 27 points, six rebounds and four steals. Prior to Currie’s arrival, Lotos lost to Finepharm in spite of 12 points and a game-high five steals from Beard. She led Lotos in their 79-76 victory over Jolly. Beard scored 21 points, five rebounds and five assists.
In the battles of the Mystics, Crystal Smith led Apollon to a 79-71 victory over Krystal Vaughn’s Megas Alexandros. Smith scored 32 points while Vaughn added a double double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Smith’s team also player Paghiakos and won 80-67. She added 19 points and six assists in that contest.
Crystal Langhorne continues to adjust to the European style of play. She led Teo Vilnus to a 72-49 victory over Broker. Langhorne recorded a double double with 19 points and 15 rebounds. She missed having another double double when Ted Vilnus defeated Beretta 69-43. Langhorne scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
Bernice Mosby and ARRAS snuck by Union with a 62-61 victory. She scored 11 points and grabbed five rebounds.
Shay Murphy’s San Jose was not able to get passed Athinaikos despite scoring 28 points on 9 for 17 shooting from the field.
Nakia Sanford scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds in her debut with her Russian team.
Week of November 3rd, 2008
Alana Beard scored 14 points and grabbed two steals in Lotos’ 85-82 loss against Union.
Laurie Koehn was 2 for 5 from the three point line in Ted Kayseri’s 76-61 loss to Tarsus.
Crystal Langhorne was 6 for 10 from the field and scored 14 points in Teo Vilnus’ 78-67 victory over Lattes Montpellier. She also grabbed 12 rebounds and two steals.
Coco Miller scored 14 points, grabbed five steals and recorded six rebounds in Spartak’s 74-56 victory.
Bernice Mosby scored 18 points on 5 for 11 shooting in ARRAS’ 61-53 victory over Reze.
She also grabbed nine rebounds in the game.
Shay Murphy scored 13 points and grabbed seven rebounds in San José's 69-65 loss to Estudiantes.
Week of October 13th, 2008
Alana Beard scored 13 points in her team’s victory against Pabianice. Beard scored 11 points in her team’s loss to Ros Casares.
Andrea Gardner scored 11 points and grabbed three rebounds in her team’s victory over Taranto.
Crystal Langhorne was 10 for 14 from the field and scored 23 points in her team’s loss to Fenerbahce. She also grabbed 12 rebounds and three steals.
Coco Miller was 9 for 15 from the field and scored 20 points and recorded nine rebounds and three steals in Spartak’s win over BC Star-TLU. In her next game against BC Star, Miller was held to 12 points while her team still emerged with the victory.
Shay Murphy scored 18 points, grabbed nine rebounds and six steals in San José's win over Avenida. She also scored 17 points and three rebounds in San Jose’s loss to Ros Casares.
