Series Notes:
Last season, the Washington Mystics and the Seattle Storm split the series 1-1, both winning a game on their home court. In their first matchup on August 25th, the Mystics lost to the Storm at Key Arena 68-78. The Mystics were led by forwards Monique Currie and Marissa Coleman who scored 13 points each. The Storm were led by center Janell Burse who led all scorers with 14 points. Guard Sue Bird and forward Lauren Jackson added 13 points apiece for the Storm. In their second matchup on September 3rd, the Mystics were led by Monique Currie who had 17 points and seven rebounds. Forward Crystal Langhorne posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds while guard Matee Ajavon scored a season-high 16 points, dished out four assists, and collected four steals in her first start in the Mystics’ lineup. The Storm leads the series 9-8.
