The Freddie Mac Foundation is teaming up with the Washington Mystics to help more of our region’s 6,000 foster children find adoptive homes. The Foundation and Mystics are starting a partnership to help recruit adoptive families for more of our region's foster children as well as raise awareness of their plight.
The two organizations teamed up to support a year-long initiative with three local elementary schools to encourage children to move more and eat better. Through this partnership, students and teachers participate in the “Mystics in Training” anti-obesity program, which includes walking the “Mystic Mile” several times a week.
Washington DC-area lady lawyers, law students, and friends met on the Washington Mystics Practice Court to learn how to play like the pros (at least for a day). Forty-five lady lawyers joined some of the best the WNBA has to offer, including the Washington Mystics coaching staff and General Manager Linda Hargrove for a unique adult skills clinic.
