What is your profession/occupation: Sandra: Sports Sociologist/Coordinator, Women’s Sports Foundation. Juanita: Technology Sales.

How long have you been a Mystics Season Ticket Holder? For 12 years, since day one!

Favorite Mystics Player of all time: Sandra: Murriel Page, a hard worker who always gave her all. Juanita: Vicky Bullett, I like the quiet power that makes things happen and people around her better.

Favorite current Mystics Player: Sandra: Crystal Langhorne. She is amazing amongst the taller players. Juanita: I agree and would add she has the quiet power.

Most memorable game & why: Sandra: The first game ever was a wonderful display of outstanding women from all fields coming together, but this season I won a cruise and the Mystics also won the game. So that was the most amazing!

What do you like most about coming out to Mystics games: Sandra: Cheering for the team and seeing friends. Juanita: And spirited conversations with Sabrina in the Johnnie Walker Club.

Who is your favorite non-Mystics WNBA player: Sandra: It was Tamika Catchings until this season! Loved Yolanda Griffith too.

What is your favorite WNBA team, aside from the Mystics: Sandra: Hate to say it, but it’s the Indiana Fever. I appreciate female coaches getting opportunities. Juanita: I agree and don’t hate to say it.

What interests do you have outside of the WNBA/women’s basketball: Sandra: Running, reading, writing, and fighting to get women’s sports covered fairly by the sports media. Juanita: Reading and taking on any battle for equal rights and fairness for all.

What one thing can you do better than all other Mystics fans: Make funny, pointed comments to the refs, usually respectfully; but I get my complaints heard while making folks laugh.

Most memorable game & why: The most memorable game for me was when my youngest son and I were asked to come down and participate in a game during a timeout. He was a little reluctant at first, but I convinced him to do it with me. Needless to say, we ended up winning the scooter competition and our prize was two huge book bags full of school supplies.

What do you like most about coming out to Mystics games: It’s a great family environment. The passion from the fans and the way the ladies play the game made me a fan overnight. Prior to becoming a season ticket holder three years ago, I had never seen or watched a WNBA game before.

Who is your favorite non-Mystics WNBA player: Nikki Teasley. I just love the way she plays the game; she freestyles a lot though.

What is your favorite WNBA team, aside from the Mystics: NONE!!! Home team for life!!!

What interests do you have outside of the WNBA/women’s basketball: I am an avid Washington Redskins fan and Washington Wizards fan. I would even cheer for the Washington Capitals if things are going right.

What one thing can you do better than all other Mystics fans: The Mystics fans are so eclectic and energetic, so it would be hard to mention. But I would say that I can WIN THE SCOOTER GAME EVERY TIME…LOL!

Most memorable game & why: All Mystics games are memorable, but mine is still to come and will happen when, not if, the Mystics win the WNBA Championship in the next year or two. Go Mystics!!

What do you like most about coming out to Mystics games: Seeing all of the wonderful fans and watching the Mystics and any other team battle it out for the victory. The Mystics are my "Harlem Globetrotters" and whoever they play are my "Washington Generals".

What is your favorite WNBA team, aside from the Mystics: My favorite is the Mystics and aside from the Mystics starters, my favorite WNBA team is the Mystics bench players who don’t get to play much.

What interests do you have outside of the WNBA/women’s basketball: jog and exercise daily and give whole blood to the American Red Cross to help save 3 or 4 lives each time I give. I have given 168 pints in my lifetime, once every 8 weeks, which is 21 gallons.

Most memorable game & why: The first WNBA game I ever attended was the All-Star Game in 2002. The fans were friendly and excited, and the game was great! It was just awesome to see a women’s professional basketball game!

What do you like most about coming out to Mystics games: The camaraderie. At this point, a fair number of my friends have season tickets and it’s a great way for us to get together during the week or on the weekends.

Most memorable game & why: What better than the very first win in 1997, against the Houston Comets. We really didn’t have a lot of talent then, but the team had soooo much heart and the fans packed the house… we couldn’t lose! That season, we went 3-27, but I enjoyed every game.

What do you like most about coming out to Mystics games: The opportunity to support professional women’s athletics. We need more positive role models for young girls and troubled youth … shine the light on a better path through athletics and education.

What is your favorite WNBA team, aside from the Mystics: Do they matter?? Seattle or Connecticut.

What interests do you have outside of the WNBA/women’s basketball: Supporting USMA (GO Army) and its women’s athletics, canoe/kayaking, walking, or riding my Honda Shadow.

Most memorable game & why: Beating Charlotte at home in game 1 in the first round of the 2002 playoffs. We were underdogs and had finished the season on a losing trend. In fact, we had just lost to Charlotte, and therefore lost the home court advantage, to finish out the season. The Mystics came out and played a beautiful game and never surrendered, even when Charlotte battled back time and again. That year was a magical year for us and watching that victory live was thrilling.

What do you like most about coming out to Mystics games: The positive energy that fills the stadium almost every game.
