Monarchs Splash Page

The Sacramento Monarchs would like to thank their fans for 13 amazing and successful seasons in the WNBA.

As one of the league's original eight teams in 1997, the Monarchs were a perennial power in the Western Conference, making nine trips to the playoffs, winning the WNBA championship in 2005 and the Western Conference crown in 2006. None of it would have been possible without the support of the community and the team's faithful following.

A Dispersal Draft involving Sacramento Monarchs players took place on Monday, Dec. 14. The league is still seeking to add a team to the Bay Area for the 2011 season. For the latest information, please visit WNBA.com.
