Besides playing overseas, what are you looking forward to doing most this offseason?
Well, this offseason I am playing in Solna, Sweden until April, so that will be most of my offseason. But I must say I'm looking forward to spending time with my family during Christmas break.
How's Sweden? What's it like compared to your hometown of Tyler, TX?
Sweden is a beautiful country! Everyone speaks English, the people here are nice and it’s pretty cold. Tyler is the rose capital, so it’s decorated with beautiful roses, while Sweden is surrounded by big buildings and it has nice scenery at night.
What is your living situation like in Sweden? Do you have an apartment, have a roommate, etc?
I stay in a one bedroom apartment, so of course I have no roommate. To describe my apartment is very efficient, one medium size room that's my bedroom/living room, a small kitchen and bathroom.
What advice, if any, have some of the veteran players like Rebekkah, Nicole or Ticha given you about playing overseas?
Just make the most of my experience. Play hard and get better!
Anything else you want to share about your first season overseas? So far, has it been what you expected?
I must say the food here in Sweden is better than I expected. I am a very picky eater, but I'm not having trouble finding good food here.
What are some particular basketball goals that you have for yourself this offseason?
Working more on my defense and making that a specialty for myself; also, being able to knock down the open jumper.
On or off the court, what is the most memorable moment of your rookie year?
My most memorable moment of the year was making it to the Playoffs. That was exciting for me, I only have college playoffs to compare it to and that doesn't even compare.
Will you be able make it home for the holidays? What are your plans?
Yes! I actually get to spend Christmas and New Year's at home. I'm going to just spend time with family and friends.
