Ticha Penicheiro Receives Award
Recently, Ticha Penicheiro was honored by the Portuguese American Leadership Council for her exceptional play in the WNBA and on the Portuguese National Team and for her leadership qualities on and off the court. Ticha, along with pop star Nelly Furtado, was the recipient of the 2002 PALCUS Annual Leadership Award.

The Annual Leadership Award is designed to recognize those individuals who are of Portuguese heritage and have distinguished themselves in their field, or have contributed in a significant way to the Portuguese-American community-at-large. Congratulations Ticha!
