Kara Lawson Honored by the NCAA
The NCAA Honors Committee selected Sacramento Monarchs guard, Kara Lawson, as a NCAA Today’s Top VIII honoree. Lawson was one of eight senior student- athletes from the 2002-03 sports season recognized for their academic and athletics achievements, character and leadership. She was also a 2003 NCAA Woman of the Year state winner and top 10 finalist for her outstanding efforts while at the University of Tennessee.

Lawson is currently enjoying her time off the court and studying for the LSAT (Law School Admissions Test). She looks forward to returning to Sacramento and the 2004 season with the Monarchs.
