SACRAMENTO, CALIF. April 2, 2008 – The Sacramento Monarchs and all 13 WNBA teams will put individual game tickets for the League’s 2008 season on sale Thursday, April 10, at 10 a.m. PDT. The Monarchs 17 regular season home games, as well as tickets for the Monarchs versus Storm preseason game at ARCO Arena on Friday, May 2, at 7 p.m., will go on sale at this time.

Monarchs fans will be treated to more weekend home games this season with four Friday, six Saturday and two Sunday games. Opening Night at ARCO Arena will take place on Saturday, May 17, at 7 p.m. versus the San Antonio Silver Stars. All fans in attendance will receive a Monarchs Opening Night lapel pin and thunderstix – two Monarchs Opening Night traditions. The Monarchs hold the longest Opening Night sellout streak in the League with six consecutive home opener sellouts.

Special event games include:
Dads & Daughters Night, Saturday, June 14, at 7 p.m. vs. Los Angeles Sparks. Fans will receive the 2008 commemorative Dads & Daughters Dog Tags – the second set of tags in the collectible series.*

Women of Inspiration Night, Saturday, July 12, at 7 p.m. vs. Phoenix Mercury. Fans will receive a special embossed Monarchs Networking Notepad.*

Breast Heath Awareness Night, Friday, July 18, at 7 p.m. vs. Atlanta Dream. Fans will receive a Monarchs Breast Health Awareness ribbon clasp key chain.*

Camp Day, Thursday, July 24, at 11:30 a.m. vs. Phoenix Mercury. Fans will receive a Monarchs flashlight and celebrate Monty’s Birthday with mascots from around the League.**

THE MONTYS (Fan Appreciation), Tuesday, September 9, at 7 p.m. vs. Seattle Storm. All fans will receive a 2008 Monarchs team poster. Exciting gifts will be given away throughout the game.
