The Monarchs link up with the Lynx tonight at 6 p.m. at ARCO Arena!

1) Monarchs (14-9) and Lynx (6-20) battle tonight at ARCO Arena. This is the fourth and final regular season meeting between these Western Conference foes. Sacramento has won all three meetings thus far.

2) The last meeting between these two was a high-scoring affair as the Monarchs won in Minnesota, 85-80. Nicole Ohlde and Seimone Augustus chipped in more than 20 points apiece for the Lynx. Nicole Powell posted a season-high 21 points for the Monarchs.

3) The Monarchs have defeated the Lynx 11 straight times and have not lost to the Minnesota bunch in more than three years! The last Lynx victory over the Monarchs was an 83-73 overtime win on July 11, 2004.

4) The Lynx finally broke their 10-game losing streak on Friday night, beating the Monarchs archrival, Sparks, 85-76.

5) There are teams that players play specifically well against. For Nicole Powell, it's the Minnesota Lynx. Powell holds a career-best shooting average from the field (52.6) and points per game (17) against the Lynx.

Closing thought:

With 21.2 fouls per game, the Lynx are second only to the Mystics in fouls committed per contest. The Monarchs can take advantage of the Lynx passion for putting people at the line, by attacking the bucket consistently. Drawing calls should help the Monarchs pick up easy points and slow the game down. A methodical pace should keep fatigue low and benefit the Monarchs on the defensive end.
