The Monarchs are looking to get a leg up on the San Antonio Silver Stars tonight in Texas.

1) With only six regular season games remaining, both the Monarchs and Silver Stars are tied in the Western Conference at 17-11.

3)Both teams are one game behind Phoenix in the playoff seeding, and have split two meetings this season—with each team winning on its home court—making the final two matchups crucial as both teams look for the head-to-head tiebreaker that could make the difference in first-round seeding.

4) Tonight’s game is the third in a four-game road trip for the Monarchs, who are 7-7 on the road this season. They’re 1-1 on their current trip.

Sacramento could be catching the Silver Stars at the right time. San Antonio has lost three of four and five of eight since a season-high six-game winning streak. In addition, Silver Stars guard Becky Hammon’s status for tonight’s game is unknown. Hammon, who lit up the Monarchs for 18 the last time these teams met, missed Tuesday’s game against Washington with a foot sprain.
