The Mercury plays the WNBA’s highest tempo offense, with lots of shots, up and down action and their own version of the “fun and gun”. The Mercury has two of the best players in the league – both All-Stars and Gold Medal Winners – Diana Taurasi and Cappie Pondexter.

The game experience is run by the same group that runs the Suns – with a Hip Hop Squad dance group, Mascots, entertainers, great music and tons crowd involvement. Head Coach, Corey Gaines is back for his second season. The team has made a number of off-season moves to improve the roster, and added 6'4" DeWanna Bonner from Auburn with the 5th pick in the draft. Bonner averaged 21 points and 8.5 rebounds last season with the Auburn Tigers and should fit in nicely with the Mercury's up-tempo style.
