Katie Cooper Somerville, Mass.: Plenette, how did it feel wednesday afternoon leading your team to victory and posting your first career double double?
Plenette Pierson: It was great. I was really excited to get out there and help my team get a victory.
EdwinaRules: Hi Plenette, You guys have a big homestand coming up, starting with LA. How important is this strech going to be? Good luck and beat LA :)
Plenette Pierson: This is a real important period for us to get a few W's under our belt. We need to pick up a win to give us a boost.
Kris (Vermont): Hey Plenette, Is there a big difference between your 2nd year and your rookie year at Phoenix? What advice did you give to Diana and all the other rookies coming in this year? Good Luck this year Phoenix!!!
Plenette Pierson: There's a big difference. I went overseas after my rookie season and worked on my game and improved. Diana and the other rookies know how to play this game, so the only thing I can tell them is to go out there and play your game and do what you do.
hagar-israel: how was your first seasen in israel?
Plenette Pierson: My first season overseas was great. I played with Edwina Brown on the same team. I was glad to have the opportunity to do it. I added alot to my game that I am using now in the WNBA this season.
Morgan-Harrisburg PA: What do you like to do in your freetime besides play basketball?
Plenette Pierson: I've been hanging out with the rookies. I watch alot of movies, and I like to go to the mall and go shopping. Spend all my money.
Ashley Robinson,Grove Hill ,AL: What is the biggest difference with playing professionally now than college? How have you been able to adjust as well?
Plenette Pierson: Professionally is a bid difference. The physicality is totally different. The post players are tough, but they don't limit themselves to staying on the block. They are more versatile and I try and use my quickness and footwork to work to my advantage.
Leah (Tempe): There's been mention of the closeness of the team. Do you think that's helped the team jell, and is it a conscious effort, or just something that's natural amongst you as a group?
Plenette Pierson: I think this team is very close. It just came naturally. We have players with great personalities who are easy to be around.
Brodie : What's Carrie Graf like as a coach? and how are you finding her accent?
Plenette Pierson: I think she's great. I had an opportunity to play under her last year when she was an assistant and she's been great this year too. I like everything she's done so far.
Ida, Oslo: Hey plenette!! I think the mercury are doing real well this season. What would you say is the biggest difference this year compared to last year, when you were last in the league?? GO MERCURY!!
Plenette Pierson: I think we have a lot of great shooters and defensive players who can step up. At any given time we have players who can just go out and have a great game.
Gris (Texhoma, OK): Aside from baskeball, what was the one thing you enjoyed the most while you were at Tech?
Plenette Pierson: I enjoyed the basketball camps, hanging out with the kids in the community and the fans. I wish I could go back!
HOUSTON: Hi,Plenette I played against you in high school when you were at Bellaire, and you played basically all positions. Do you miss playing all positions at anytime in the WNBA?
Plenette Pierson: I don't think so. My role is redefined, I am playing multiple positions, but I enjoy playing in the post better than playing as a guard.
colleen: Hey Plenette, what is your favorite song of all time?
Plenette Pierson: I don't know. Right now, I'm liking Don't Take Your Love Away.
Scott (phoenix): Hey Plennette, what adjustments will the team ahve to make on Friday with Penny out of the country?
Plenette Pierson: Penny is a great player and she brings alot of different things to our team. We have people who can come in off the bench and try and pick up the scoring and defense that Penny brings our team.
Airyell Monmouth, IL: Plenette, i have a question, have you always wanted to be a basektball player? If you haven't what did you think you were going to do? and when did you start playing basketball? Any tips?
Plenette Pierson: I always wanted to be a basketball player. I was five when I started playing with my brother in the YMCA league. I played with all the boys.
Zara (Columbia, MD): Hey Plenette! I love the Mercury... You guys are really doing well so far this season compared to last year. How would you assess your team right now? Is the team pumped up to face the Sparks this Friday?
Plenette Pierson: We've got a great group of girls and I think we are coming together very well. I think we are pumped and ready for the game against L.A. I know they will be coming in with their big guns, but we'll be ready for them.
Plenette Pierson: Thanks to everyone for chatting with me and come out and watch us take on the Sparks on Friday!
