Glad you've stopped by to get the latest on the ramblings of my social life. As you'll soon read, I love to check out the newest restaurants and am constantly out and about, taking in all that this Valley has to offer…usually with my boyfriend Pete.

I recently made my second trip to St. Francis on Camelback near Central Ave. It has a great vibe with its exposed brick and cozy, yet still airy atmosphere. They've done a great job at giving patrons a sneak peek behind the scenes by opening up the kitchen a bit so we can see the action, but you certainly don't feel like you are in there cooking with the chefs. Speaking of chefs, Aaron Chamberlin, the owner and chef has created some delightful dishes with interesting combinations of fresh ingredients, while maintaining a middle of the road price point.

For starts, I would highly recommend the Sticky Toffee Pudding dessert and the kiwi prosecco. Dessert and drinks, what does that say about me? Well, you can't go wrong with either. Pete has a friend who has been known to order and eat dessert before the main meal. I've never witnessed it, but think it's a pretty solid idea…especially now that I've met this toffee pudding.

Needless to say, go check St. Francis out for yourself.

With the bouts of rain and chilly weather lately I decided to make some Macaroni and Cheese because that is a staple winter dish if you ask me. Check out my recipe here and I'd love for you to share yours as well.

If you are like me and sometimes have a difficult time choosing where to eat, I always recommend my old standby, P.F. Chang's for the lettuce Wraps. I ordered them "to go" this weekend and they never disappoint. It's an amazing combination of fresh lettuce with a comfort food mixture in the middle. With the lettuce, you talk yourself into believing it's healthy too. How do they get the lettuce like that?

Until next time…

Jay
