The following updates include games played through January 28, 2013.
Krystal Thomas – Jiangsu Phoenix (China): Thomas and the Jiangsu Phoenix lost to Maya Moore's Shanxi in the playoffs, thus ending Thomas' season in China. For the year, Thomas averaged 17.6 points, 14.1 rebounds, and shot 63.6% from the floor. Read Thomas' final overseas blog about Chinese cuisine here.
Charde Houston – Maccabi Ashdod (Israel): Continuing their dominance in the Israeli league, Houston and Maccabi Ashdod won another two games over the past week and now sit at 14-0. Most recently, Houston tallied 20 points, eight rebounds, and six assists in an 80-59 win over Galil Elion. Houston currently averages 18.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists while shooting 51.4% from the floor and 43.8% from the 3-pt line. She and Maccabi Ashdod have just two games remaining in the regular season.
Sammy Prahalis – Prahalis has left Israel for family reasons.
DeWanna Bonner – Nadezhda Orenburg (Russia): Bonner has Nadezhda Orenburg sitting at 4th place in the PBL at 8-4. She currently averages 13.3 points and 7.2 rebounds for the club while shooting 55.7% from the floor. They face an important game against the 8-3 Spartak team featuring Mercury teammate Candice Dupree on Feb. 3.
Candice Dupree – Spartak (Russia): At 8-3, Dupree and Spartak are in 3rd place in the PBL just ahead of Bonner's Nadezhda Orenburg squad (whom they face on Feb. 3 which will be a big game for positioning). Dupree plays just under 20 minutes per game and averages 9.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and shoots 56 percent from the floor. Dupree hasn't missed a free-throw all season (18-18).
Diana Taurasi – UMMC Ekaterinburg (Russia): With Sue Bird joining the club after the New Year, Taurasi and UMMC remain the team to beat in the PBL and EuroLeague. Averaging 16.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 5.4 assists (5th in the EuroLeague), Taurasi and UMMC next face a Perfumerias team of Monique Currie and former Mercury teammate Le'coe Willingham on Jan. 30.
Lynetta Kizer – KB Stars (South Korea): Kizer continues to nurse an ankle injury and is planning on being back on the court soon. She and the KB Stars are 11-15 and in 4th place in the WKBL.
Alexis Hornbuckle – Elitzur Holon (Israel): Hornbuckle continues to lift Elitzur Holon's play and has them back in the middle of the Israeli league standings after sitting near last place for the majority of the season. Hornbuckle is averaging a team-high 34 minutes per game to go along with 17.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. Hornbuckle and Elitzur Holon have just two games remaining in the regular season.
