I don't remember having a costume that I loved more than another, but I do remember trying to get as much candy as possible. |

I remember going as a hillbilly and a grandma, but my go-to costume was a basketball player. My favorite costume was probably the basketball player because my grandfather would bring home my favorite player’s jersey and I would wear that for my costume.
My family would always go to my aunt and uncle's house every year. We would order pizza and then all my cousins and I would go trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. It was a family gathering of about 20 of us. One year my brother and I got so much candy we decided to sell it to our friends at school. We made close to $100! |

My favorite Halloween costume growing up was the Batman costume. I loved the costume because of its utility belt.
Living in Detroit, I was always worried about returning home with all of my candy. There were always a few kids who had their "own way" of trick-or-treating. They waited until the end of the night and snatched candy bags from the traditional trick-or- treaters. I did get my bag snatched one year, but my big brother got it back for me. From that point on, he was my bodyguard every Halloween!

My favorite Halloween costume growing up was the Yellow M&M. It was my first Halloween costume so it was a big deal for me. At the time, my infatuation with M&M's made me like it the most.
One Halloween, my sister and I went trick-or-treating and we walked up to a door that was well decorated. Of course, when the residents opened their door, there was a skeleton man that jumped out and completely caught my sister and I off guard! I ended up spilling half of my candy because I was scared so bad.

I didn't really have a favorite costume, but I do have a story that sticks out in my mind.
I was in college and every year we would have a team Halloween party. It was 2004 and my head coach (Dawn Staley) was the flag-bearer for the U.S. delegation at the summer Olympics. So, for Halloween, I decided I would be her! I had her personal assistant steal her opening ceremonies outfit and I went out and bought a small American flag to wave around. My costume was a hit; needless to say, coach Staley was shocked! |

I remember being a hobo eight years running! I would wear my dad's work clothes and bring my Duck Tales pillow case trick-or-treating. |

The only thing I can remember is being a vampire! But, I don't really have any funny stories to tell... |

I was obsessed with the Power Rangers when I was younger. I used to wake up at 8:00 a.m. every Saturday morning to watch the newest episode. I had the biggest crush on the White Ranger named Tommy, so for four-years-straight I was the White Ranger for Halloween!
When I was really young and didn't like to walk very far, my mom would pull me around in a Radio Flyer Little Red Wagon. She would set it up really nice for me with blankets in it to sit on, drinks and snacks in case I got hungry, and it would have my trick-or-treating bag in it, too. Once I got bigger and my next sister was born, I would pull the wagon and my baby sister would sit in it.

In Australia, Halloween isn't a holiday that we celebrate so I don't have much insight to add. In fact, I'm still not really sure what it's truly about [laughs]. |

My favorite Halloween costume was my "I Dream of Jeannie" costume. The show would come on everyday during Nick at Nite on Nickelodeon and I just had to watch it; it was one of my favorite shows! So, when I saw the costume in the store, I had to have it. The whole night I pretended that I could wiggle my nose and things would happen.
There was one year where my sister and I had this great idea of trick-or-treating with rollerblades on so that we could get to more houses and get more candy. I remember there was this house on the corner of my street that I would never go to on Halloween because they always made it look like a haunted house. So this particular year I thought I would just skate up really quick since I had my rollerblades on, get the candy, and skate off. I skate up to the door, ring the doorbell and the door opens on its own and all this mist came out! I was so terrified! I sprinted off without the candy but before I could get out of their yard, my front blade got caught on something and I ate it face first into the sidewalk. Needless to say, I never went back to that house during Halloween. |

When I was growing up, we didn't really celebrate Halloween, so I don't have any favorite costumes or anything. I dressed up a few times in college but thankfully I don't have any pictures [laughs].

I use to watch Wizard of Oz and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles every weekend at my father's house. No matter how many times I watched that movie, I was always afraid of the Wicked Witch [laughs]. So I always wanted to be a witch for Halloween. I thought everyone would be afraid of me. I also liked it because my father would always paint my entire face. I always loved our time together. I also loved being Leo, the blue Ninja Turtle. One year, my brother and I had the same costume. It was really cool because back then I didn't understand gender differences. I just remember being happy getting candy and imitating all of Leo's karate moves! Since these were both my favorites, I switched each year while I was in elementary. One funny story is that I would always get questioned during trick-or-treating because I was so tall. My turtle pants wouldn't be long enough for my skinny legs. I didn't care. I wanted to wear it anyway! My father would always have to tell people my age in a stern voice so they'd leave me alone. It always worked out in my favor, because people would feel bad for their comments and give me even more candy. |

I remember one Halloween when I was in junior high, two of my friends and I thought it would be a fun idea to dress up like the pop group TLC. I wanted to be Left Eye because not only did I have a baby face, I wanted to wear the black line under my eye because I thought it was cool at the time. We had the huge jean shorts and suspenders with the crazy glasses and hats; it was a fun time.
While we were out, we even got to perform the song "What About Your Friends" in front of a group of people, so we were the center of attention for a bit that evening. We even got extra candy so that was a bonus.
