Mercury Players Reflect on Their Favorite Moments of 2003
My favorite memory of this season was actually just getting the opportunity to compete once again in the WNBA ... and of course the X-Factor! Mercury fans are truly special and even through our adversity they were still the best! They make the games enjoyable--even during a tough season!!

One of my fondest memories of this past season was our last home game at America West Arena. The excitement and energy that I had during the game was that of a WNBA championship game, fans going crazy, the Mercury fight song being screamed across the arena as well as me and my teammates laughing and going crazy throughout the game! That game was an experience that I will cherish forever from my rookie season. The memory of a true team through thick and thin and wonderful fans that support the valiant effort we gave the whole year to become a better basketball team.
Thank You,

My favorite memory from this season was hearing that I had made the All-Star Team! The All-Star Game itself was an experience that I will never forget, and something that I want to experience again and again throughout my career. I can’t leave out the fact that my teammates made a very challenging season bearable because of their fight, determination, and their professionalism. It also goes without saying that our fans are by far the best fans in the WNBA and we couldn’t do it without them.

Well, my favorite memory of the season is when we played at Houston on August 10. In the second half Tina Thompson went hustling for the ball and fell on a guy sitting courtside who had a nice big tray of nachos in his lap on which she fell on top of! Tina played about five more plays up and down the court with nachos on her backside. And let's not forget to mention that the whole tie she was still was balling on us! I would have to say that the best part would definitely be watching “TJ” imitating her actions in the locker room after the game. That was definitely the funniest thing that I saw in my three weeks with the Mercury.
