Louisville: Do you feel that you are back 100 percent after your injury?

Lisa Harrison: No. I'm not. Unfortunately, the tear in my harmstring is 30% torn and will always be 30% torn. I've been able to play on it to see what my tolerance was. I've managed to strengthen my tendon and keep playing on it.

Teresa, Glendale, AZ: Did you play any other sports growing up or in school and if so, why did you choose basketball?

Lisa Harrison: My first sport was actually softball. And volleyball, which is actually my favorite sport. I was All-State in softball and basketball, but I figured I'd go further with basketball. I wanted to play two sports in college, but it's too demanding to do both at Tennessee.

Laura, PHX: I heard somewhere that you had another nickname, "Skittles". Is that true? If true, what is the story behind the name?

Lisa Harrison: No, I don't have a nickname. I think someone went on our message board with the name Skittles. But it wasn't me.

Karen (Charlotte): Hi Lisa! What do you think of the WNBA's "This is who I am" marketing campaign? You are such a major player in it, I was just curious.

Lisa Harrison: Actually I haven't seen the "This Is Who I Am," but I had a good time doing it. I think they may have gone a little overboard with the princess theme (see picture above). I get a lot of flak for that.

Discostu: Hey Lisa What do you think about the govenor getting to coach tomorrow?

Lisa Harrison: Well hopefully she'll coach to win. I know she's been a Mercury fan in the past. Hopefully, we'll have fun and get a win.

Danielle "Gringa" (Sedona): Hi Lisa!! You're my favorite basketball player . . . EVER!!! I was wondering what your favorite board game is and why? Good Luck!!!

Lisa Harrison: Hey Danielle. I'd say Operation.

Bobby, Chandler, AZ: There are a lot of foreign players on your roster. Does the communication barrier hinder your performance on the court?

Lisa Harrison: it has in the past. We've had people who spoke very little English. Maria could speak very little English when she got here. In the game, in the heat of the moment, there are times you can't really communicate. It makes it difficult when there's a language barrier.

Jeff (Nashville): Lisa what is your favorite story about Pat and your best memory of the '91 team? Would you like to come back to the "Hill" and coach? We still love ya down here in Big Orange Country by the way and you've always made us proud!

Lisa Harrison: Thank you. That's so sweet. I'd have to say going to Tennessee, it was the hardest thing I ever had to go through. If I had to do it again, I would. I don't think I'd be playing if I didn't have the influence of Pat. I talked to her a couple weeks ago. Coaching Tennessee? That's a big responsibility. I would not want to fill those shoes when she retires.

Kokomo: If you were to play a game of one on one with Sue Bird, who would win?

Lisa Harrison: Well she has a bad knee right now. So I might be able to take her. She's quick with the ball. So I might have a hard time. I'm stronger than her, so it would be a great matchup.

Courtney, Mesa: Hi Lisa. Hope your ankle is better. What do you plan to do during the off-season? Will I be seeing you at Suns games?

Lisa Harrison: First thing I'm going to do is go home. I havent' been home in eight months. As far as work-wise I have a couple things I'm looking into. I want to get my body healthy for next season. As far as Suns games, I will definitely catch a few games if I can. I love Suns games. (Beware Louisville, I'm coming home.)

Teasley's fan(L.A): Hi,Lisa! What's in your CD player right now?GOOD LUCK!!!

Lisa Harrison: Right now I have Ready for the World's Greatest Hits.

Mike (Detroit): Hi Lisa, this is Mike (your #1 fan in Detroit) and I think it's great that you are involved in the Inhale Life program. Can you give a little more detail about what the Mercury and its players are doing to promote this program? Thanks and good luck!

Lisa Harrison: Pretty much all we've done is the commerical shoot itself. We haven't spoke on the issue other than what's on the web site. But we're using the Mercury name and what it stands for to promote the anti-smoking message for young girls in Phoenix. It's important to have a healthy lifestyle.

Steve (Phoenix, AZ): Who is your favorite baseball player and why?

Lisa Harrison: My favorite baseball player is #6, Doug Glanville of the Texas Rangers.

Lisa Harrison: Thanks for everyone writing in. Sorry I didn't get to every question. Continue to support the Mercury. We're trying to get things going in the right direction. We'll see every at the game! Take care.
