Ann Meyers Drysdale and Bridget Pettis to Visit Tempe Fry's

Phoenix Mercury President and General Manager Ann Meyers Drysdale and director of basketball operations Bridget Pettis will greet fans and sign autographs on Friday, September 10 from 5 – 6 p.m. at a Fry’s Food Store in Tempe (3255 S. Rural Rd.).

Fans can purchase the Mercury’s 2009 Wheaties box at Fry’s and have it signed by Meyers Drysdale and Pettis.

Both were part of the team’s championship squad in 2009. The club finished 30-15 and secured the second title in three years for the franchise (2007, 2009).

The Mercury closed out its 14th season on September 5 after falling to the Seattle Storm in the Western Conference Finals.

Diana Taurasi led the team to another record-setting season, including a WNBA best 93.9 points per game. The team will return for another run at the title in May 2011.
