MERCURY TO CELEBRATE 2009 WNBA CHAMPIONSHIP ON MONDAY

A championship rally will be held for the 2009 WNBA Champions, the Phoenix Mercury, on Monday, Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. in the Casino Arizona Pavilion at US Airways Center.

Fans are invited to take part in the rally where members of the team will speak, the trophy and banner will be unveiled and highlights of the championship season will be shown.

The Mercury defeated the Indiana Fever 94-86 Friday night in Game 5 to become the 2009 WNBA Champions.

Free parking is available in the garage adjacent to US Airways Center.
